(August)

  • In a short period of time, our first REU student Diana learned how to set up, run, and analyze coarse-grained polymer melt simulations! Take a look at this video she made describing her research and her experience as an REU student at UF ChE :)

  • The group celebrates the end of summer at Satchel’s pizza.

(October)

  • We’re so excited to welcome Taofeek Tejuosho to the group! Taofeek is a first-year ChemE PhD student, and he comes to Gainesville from Lagos, Nigeria.

(November)

  • Otmi presents a poster at AIChE 2021 in Boston titled “Plasticization in Thermally Rearranged Polymers: Effect of Free Volume Element Structure and Chain Dynamics from Molecular Dynamics Simulations”.

  • We had a Thanksgiving Potluck at Kanapha Botanical Gardens. Good food + a few rounds of Codenames + a walk through the bamboo forest = the perfect day!

(December)

  • Marissa and Marco graduated with a Master’s of Science in Chemical Engineering! Congratulations, and we wish you all the best for what lies ahead. Thank you for all your work, and for being an integral part of the group!
